swerteX (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using swerteX, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
swerteX is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data to provide the best experience:
– **Device Identifier** — A random unique ID is generated on your device when you first use community features. This is used solely to link your posts and is not tied to your real identity.
– **Display Name** — If you participate in community features, you may provide an optional username. This is stored locally and sent with your posts.
– **Community Content** — Hearings, comments, and reactions you submit are stored on our servers.
– **Push Notification Token** — If you enable notifications, your device’s push token is sent to Expo’s notification service for delivery.
– **App Preferences** — Settings such as notification preferences are stored locally on your device.
– **No Personal Information** — We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
– **No Account Required** — swerteX does not require you to create an account or sign in.
Data Storage
Most app data is stored locally on your device:
– Preferences, cached results, your device ID, and display name are stored using on-device storage (AsyncStorage).
– Community posts (hearings and comments) are stored on our servers and are publicly visible to other users.
– Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored information.
– All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
Network Requests
swerteX makes network requests solely to provide its core functionality:
– **Lottery Results** — The app connects to our API to retrieve publicly available PCSO lottery results. These requests contain no personal or identifying information.
– **Community Features** — When you post hearings or comments, your device ID, display name, and content are sent to our servers.
– **Push Notifications** — If enabled, your push token is registered with our server and Expo’s notification service to deliver draw alerts.
– No data is sent to advertising networks, analytics platforms, or any other third parties.
Third-Party Services
swerteX uses one third-party service:
– **Expo Push Notifications** — Your push notification token is shared with Expo (expo.dev) solely for the purpose of delivering notifications to your device. Expo’s privacy policy is available at https://expo.dev/privacy.
– No advertising networks or analytics services are integrated.
– Your data is never sold to third parties.
Notifications
Push notifications are entirely optional:
– You will be asked for permission before any notifications are sent.
– If enabled, your device’s push token is sent to our server and Expo’s notification service for delivery.
– You can manage which games trigger notifications in the app’s Settings tab.
– You can disable notifications at any time through the app settings or your device settings.
Community Features
swerteX includes optional community features (hearings and comments):
– Posts are publicly visible to all users of the app.
– Posts are associated with your device ID and display name — not your real identity.
– You can edit or delete your own posts at any time.
– A profanity filter is applied to all submitted content.
– If you do not use community features, no device ID or display name is ever transmitted.
Data Deletion
You have control over your data:
– Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data (preferences, device ID, display name, cached results).
– You can delete your own community posts and comments directly within the app.
– To request complete deletion of your community data from our servers, contact us at support@swertres-results.com with your device ID (found in Settings).
Children’s Privacy
swerteX is an informational app that displays publicly available lottery results. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app does not facilitate gambling or the purchase of lottery tickets.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of swerteX after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
