BOC: Luxury Cars ng Pamilyang Discaya, Tinatayang Halos ₱1 Bilyon ang Halaga

Tinatayang aabot sa ₱500 milyon hanggang ₱1 bilyon ang kabuuang halaga ng mga luxury car na pag-aari ng pamilyang Discaya, ayon sa Bureau of Customs (BOC).

Ibinunyag ni BOC Spokesperson Atty. Jet Maronilla sa programang “Parekoy” ng DWAR Abante Radyo nitong Miyerkoles, Agosto 27, na bawat isa sa mahigit 40 mamahaling sasakyan ng pamilya ay nagkakahalaga ng humigit-kumulang ₱18 milyon hanggang ₱25 milyon.

Kasalukuyan nang nagsasagawa ng inisyal na imbestigasyon ang BOC upang alamin kung dumaan sa legal na proseso ang pag-angkat ng mga sasakyan at kung walang nalabag na batas. Nakikipag-ugnayan na rin umano ang ahensya sa Land Transportation Office (LTO) para sa beripikasyon ng Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) ng bawat sasakyan.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagsusuri na ito, malalaman kung tama ang naging proseso ng pagbili at pagpasok sa bansa ng mga luxury car, kung nabayaran ang tamang buwis, o kung may naganap na ilegal na transaksyon.
