A tragic incident occurred at a mall in Bajada, Davao City on Monday night, February 17, when a businessman fell from the fifth floor, prompting an immediate response from authorities. According to the initial police investigation by the Santa Ana Police Station 1, at around 9:05 PM, a mall watcher, identified as Sylvester Pagsibigan Tamalla, noticed a man standing near the edge of the fifth floor, looking down towards the ground floor.
Moments later, bystanders on the ground floor were alarmed as the man was found lying motionless. The victim was later identified as ‘Daryl,’ a 40-year-old businessman and a resident of Davao City. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fall.
