A drug transaction in Barangay Basak Pardo took a violent turn Saturday night, March 2, when a man was shot by his own buyers. The incident, captured on CCTV footage, occurred at around 8 p.m. along Tagunol Street. The victim, identified only as ‘Vin,’ a 30-year-old resident of Sitio Zapatera, Barangay Luz, was allegedly delivering illegal drugs when the deal turned deadly. According to an initial investigation by the Inayawan Police Station, the victim arrived at the location to deliver an order of illegal drugs.
The footage shows him handing over a cigarette pack, which authorities believe contained the illicit substance. Moments later, two men—his supposed buyers—pulled out firearms and shot him multiple times. Despite his injuries, Vin managed to run and seek help. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains under medical care. Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for the suspects, identified only by their aliases, Fredo and Melchor. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage and gathering statements from witnesses to track down the perpetrators. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the victim’s involvement in the drug trade.
