MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out at the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) office in Quezon City on Wednesday afternoon, the Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) reported.
According to BFP-NCR, the first and second alarms were raised at 12:50 p.m. and 12:51 p.m., respectively, while the third alarm was declared shortly after at 12:56 p.m.
As of this posting, no other details have been released by authorities regarding the cause of the fire or possible casualties and damage.
A photo shared by Philippine Emergency Alerts showed thick smoke rising from the DPWH compound as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
